Hyderabad, July 16, 2025 — Telugu actor Ram Pothineni has officially stepped into a new creative role, debuting as a lyricist for his upcoming film Andhra King Taluka. The announcement was made on Tuesday evening via his social media handle, where the actor revealed that he had penned the lyrics for the film’s first single, scheduled to release on July 18, 2025.
The song, composed by the acclaimed musical duo Vivek–Mervin, features vocals by celebrated singer Anirudh Ravichander, whose involvement has already generated significant buzz. Pothineni expressed his gratitude to the team, writing, “This one’s straight from my heart to yours… Thank you @filmymahesh @iamviveksiva @MervinJSolomon for inspiring me to explore and write Sagar’s love journey”.
Shot in exotic international locations, the track promises a blend of poetic lyrics, soulful vocals, and visually rich storytelling. The production house, Mythri Movie Makers, described the song as a “melody that speaks heart,” highlighting its emotional depth and cinematic appeal.
Directed by Mahesh Babu P, Andhra King Taluka is currently in its final shooting schedule in Hyderabad. The film is a biopic centered on a passionate fan named Sagar, portrayed by Pothineni. Actress Bhagyashree Borse plays the female lead, while Kannada superstar Upendra appears in a pivotal role as fictional film icon Surya Kumar.
The film also features a strong ensemble cast including Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, Rahul Ramakrishna, and V.T.V. Ganesh. Cinematography is helmed by Siddhartha Nuni, with editing by National Award-winner Sreekar Prasad.
The teaser released earlier showcased Pothineni’s character demanding 50 tickets at a theatre counter, declaring his taluka as “Fans”—a nod to the film’s theme of cinematic devotion.
