Ahead of season 2, actor-producer Rana Daggubati said that his Netflix show Rana Naidu is similar to his real life.

In 2023, Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati will share screen space in the Netflix series Rana Naidu. A month later, the makers of the show renewed the crime drama for a second season. Now, as Rana Naidu season 2 is set to premiere on June 13, Rana Daggubati shared that the series is “a dark truth of my real life”.

Speaking to NDTV, Rana said, “I haven’t said this before, but this show is actually a biopic in some ways. It’s a dark truth of my real life.”

He explained, “In India, we work in the entertainment sector, we work in some form of media, which is a very unstructured genre. We are a country that has 10-12 different industries. We speak more languages than that. In this structure, you have to be flexible to be able to fix things constantly.

There will always be trouble, you always have to fix things that are always happening parallel to the show.” According to Rana Daggubati, Rana Naidu Season 2 will revolve around a chaotic family trying to be functional and see if normal order can come into their lives.

However, the past catches up. The show will also feature actors Kriti Kharbanda and Arjun Rampal. During the interview, Kriti shared her excitement on doing a project like Rana Naidu. The actor said, “I was extremely excited to do it.

I couldn’t sleep the night before my first day. It was very exciting for me because no one has ever offered me something like this.” He said that the role is completely different from his real life. “It is completely different from my real life personality.

For me, it was very exciting that finally someone is giving me something different. It was really surprising.” Rana Naidu is an official adaptation of the 2013 American crime drama series Ray Donovan.
