Mumbai, Sept 29 — Marking his 43rd birthday, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor surprised fans with his first-ever Instagram Live session, hosted via the official account of his lifestyle brand, ARKS. Known for his aversion to social media, Kapoor’s candid appearance offered a rare glimpse into his personal reflections on ageing, family, and gratitude.
During the live interaction, Kapoor addressed the visible greys in his beard, joking, “As you can see, a lot of greys in my beard. It keeps increasing year by year.” Responding to a fan who commented, “43 never looked so handsome,” the actor added, “Just imagine, it’s just seven years till I hit 50. It just hit me. I was making a video and I looked at my grey hair and realised in 7 years, I am going to be 50. Life just goes by too fast. Just live every day to your fullest, give it your best, be kind, be loving, and just have fun in your life, and just be a good person”.
Kapoor also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans, saying, “Thank you so much for your time. You make me feel so special.” The session included a brief cameo by his daughter, Raha Kapoor, who appeared in the background of a birthday video shared earlier in the day. His wife, actress Alia Bhatt, posted a series of intimate family photos, including a handmade birthday card from Raha that read, “Happy Birthday…Best papa in the world,” captioned with “happy birthday our whole and soul”.
The actor’s birthday celebrations reportedly included a private family getaway, with the family returning to Mumbai via chartered flight. Kapoor also greeted paparazzi outside his residence, cutting a birthday cake and thanking the media.
On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love & War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, scheduled for release on March 20, 2026. He is also preparing for his role as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part epic Ramayana, with releases planned for Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027.
