Actor Ranbir Kapoor recently made a comeback on the big screen after 5 years with the much-awaited period-drama ‘Shamshera’. However, the movie failed to deliver any magic and showed a disastrous trend at the box office. Nevertheless, the actor is currently shooting for his next venture – ‘Animal’, directed by Sandeep Reddy using Bhanga.
According to reports, Ranbir is currently in Delhi where he is shooting for ‘Animal’, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in lead roles. A picture of the units was leaked and found its way on social media, much to the excitement of his followers. The picture shows Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor twinning in all-black, with the former sporting a clean-shaven look. The photo was once shared with the help of makeup artist Anam Khan.
Looks like the ‘Animal’ team is currently at Saif Ali Khan’s Pataudi palace and is staying at the property.
Although nothing has been confirmed so far, several reports have mentioned that ‘Animal’ will revolve around the troubled relationship between a young man and his father. Rumors are that Ranveer will essay a dark and extreme persona in the film.
In early April, Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandana were spotted shooting for the movie in Manali and their first look seems to have gone viral on the internet long ago. The actors wore ethnic attire and were seen guarded by security personnel. While Ranveer was seen in a white kurta set, Rashmika was seen in a purple and white saree.
The Hindi-language crime drama is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Prannoy Reddy Bhangar’s Bhadrakali Pictures. ‘Animal’ is going to release on August 11, 2023.
Unexpectedly, actress Parineeti Chopra was once the first wish as the leading lady of the film. However, the actress backed out of the project after which the makers forced Rashmika Mandana to take the role. Parineeti was supposed to play Ranveer’s wife in the film. However, he walked out of the mission to work on Imtiaz Ali’s next title ‘Chamkila’.
