YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia addressed the India’s Got Latent controversy in his first podcast after the controversy, revealing how it affected his mental health.
YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has finally addressed the India’s Got Latent controversy in his latest podcast, which is his first release after the controversy. During a candid conversation with podcast guest Buddhist monk Palga Rinpoche, he revealed that the incident took a toll on his mental health. He also shared that it was an emotional journey and many people advised him to temporarily take a break from content creation.
On Monday, Ranveer posted a new podcast on his YouTube channel in conversation with Palga Rinpoche. He said in Hindi, “My mental health took a huge hit at that time… I was trying to reflect, thinking what else I had done wrong apart from that comment.
I was meditating and trying to calm down… My family was sad, and I was heartbroken. During that period, I had to handle myself, my family, and my team. I kept asking myself, ‘What just happened?’ So many losses, I hurt family members, and things that I had to go through.”
He further added, “I am introspecting, but I still haven’t found the answer. The way to change is to learn from mistakes and move forward… I will explain to Indians. My personal ambitions have been left behind. I have understood a lot about the world in these three weeks. And I don’t mean it in a negative way. When such situations come,
people’s true character comes out. I also saw a lot of goodness in people. My close friends and mentors stood by me and even people I had never met before came forward to help. Some people said that I should take a break from content creation for 1-2 years because if something so bad has happened, it could be due to mistakes made by me for a long time. But I believe that I have reached this point with my actions and hard work.
So if I have to get out of this swamp, that too will happen only with action and hard work.” Ranveer Allahbadia aka Beer Biceps came under controversy after he appeared in an episode of Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Talent. During the episode, he asked a contestant a controversial question,
“Would you prefer to watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or engage in it once to stop it forever?” This received a lot of criticism and several FIRs were filed against the makers and the people present in the episode.
