Fans were curious as to who would play the role of Shiva’s father Dev in the movie Brahmastra 2. According to a report, Ranveer Singh will play the role of Ranveer Kapoor’s father.
A source told the portal, “Ranveer Singh has been finalized for the role of Dev. He signed on the dotted line. The scripting of the second part is still going on and the film is expected to roll in 2025. Currently, Ayan is busy with Yudh 2 and Ranveer will also start shooting for Baiju Bawra this year. So, it is still unclear when Brahmastra 2 will go on floors.”
“If all goes well, Ranveer will start Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra in mid-2024. While it was decided that Brahmastra 2 will begin shooting in early 2025, it is now being said that Don 3 will go on floors around the same time. In all likelihood, Ranveer will first shoot for Don 3 and then Brahmastra 2,” added the source.
This is the first time that two Bollywood off-screen couples – Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone – will come together in a film. Deepika played Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Amrita in Brahmastra.
