Rhea Chakraborty breaks social media silence after six months, puts out strong message on International Women’s Day
Rhea Chakraborty was away from social media for more than six months. The actor was arrested by NCB amid the ongoing Sushant Singh Rajput death case and spent her time in jail too. Now, on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2021, Rhea broke her social media silence by sharing a photo holding her mom Sandhya Chakraborty. She put out a strong message and this is her first post since August 2020.
Rhea wrote, “Happy Women’s Day to us… Maa and me .. together forever … my strength, my faith, my fortitude – my Maa #love #faith #fortitude #strength #mother #womenwhoinspire #womenempowerment.”
Meanwhile, in the SSR death case, 33 people have been named on the charge sheet. Among those who are mentioned in the charge sheet include Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakrabarty. Sushant’s former manager Samuel Miranda and household help Dipesh Sawant have also been named.
Terming the voluminous 12,000-page charge sheet filed against Rhea, her brother Showik and 31 others as “expected”, their lawyer Satish Maneshinde launched a sharp attack on the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), virtually accusing it of a witch-hunt, here on Saturday.
“All efforts of the NCB have been directed towards Rhea Chakraborty, to somehow rope her in. The entire NCB, from top to bottom was engaged in unearthing the drug angle in Bollywood,” Maneshinde said.
“The charge sheet is a damp squib standing on the foundation of inadmissible evidence and statements recorded under NDPS Act Sec. 67 even after the Supreme Court judgement in the Toofan Singh case. Without Rhea Chakraborty being charged, this case has no substance,” Maneshinde said.
