RIP Vikram Gokhale: Actor Akshay Kumar and other Bollywood stars mourn the loss

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale passed away on November 26 (Saturday). The actor was admitted at Pune’s Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital for the time being and now has failed to it after a long battle of bearing from multiple organ failure. He died at the age of 77 and was watched in many popular Bollywood films like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Aiyaary’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ and many others. He had a wife and two children. Akshay Kumar has showed his condolences and tweeted about the demise.

The actors mortal remains will be preserved at the Balgandharva Auditorium in the city and the final rites will be done at the Vaikunth crematorium in the evening, a family friend of the actor stated.

His father Chandrakhant Gokhale was the prominent Marathi theatre and cinema actor. Besides performing in movies, Gokhale was a first-class director. He was made to wear the director’s hat in the year 2010 with Marathi film “Aaghaat”. He was honoured with the National Film Award for Best Actor title for his Marathi movie “Anumati” and was also awarded for his Acting in Theatre with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2011.
