Ritwik Bhowmik Embraces Villainous Role in Netflix’s “Khakee: The Bengal Chapter,” Explores the Dark Side of Humanity

Ritwik Bhowmik, known for his roles in “Bandish Bandits” and “Maja Ma,” has taken on a radically different character in Netflix’s “Khakee: The Bengal Chapter.” In this gripping crime drama set in early 2000s West Bengal, Bhowmik portrays Sagor Talukdar, a right-hand man to a crime lord. The actor shared that this role allowed him to explore the darker side of human nature, marking a stark departure from his previous “good boy” roles.

The series, created by Neeraj Pandey, delves into crime, corruption, and power struggles, featuring an ensemble cast including Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, and Saswata Chatterjee.

Bhowmik expressed gratitude for the opportunity to break away from his past roles and embrace this challenging character.
