Filmmaker Sajid Khan is reportedly set to make his directorial comeback after a seven-year hiatus with a new romantic comedy that will mark the Bollywood debut of Yashvardhan Ahuja, son of veteran actor Govinda. The project is currently in talks with Zee Studios and is being positioned as a launchpad for the young actor.
According to industry sources, the film may also feature Nitanshi Goel—who gained acclaim for her performance in Laapataa Ladies—and Krithi Shetty in lead roles. While the film remains untitled, it is expected to blend Sajid Khan’s signature comedic style with a fresh cast and youthful energy.
This marks Sajid Khan’s return to direction following a period of professional hiatus after facing #MeToo allegations in 2018, which led to a one-year ban by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees. Despite the controversy, Khan continues to receive backing from segments of the industry.
The news has sparked curiosity and anticipation, especially given Govinda’s legacy and the public’s interest in star kids entering Bollywood. If finalized, the film could serve as a significant career milestone for both Yashvardhan and Sajid Khan.
