In the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 18, Salman Khan confronted Shark Tank India judge and BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover for his controversial statements that he made about the actor and his team in the podcast. Recently, the clip showing Salman and Ashneer’s entire conversation on the reality show has gone viral on social media.
The clip shows Ashneer entering the stage and Salman asks him, ‘Achha aap ho. Aap apne dialogue doogalpan ke liye janaate hai,’ to which Ashneer replied, “Pratishtha to waisa hi ban gaya hai.”
When the BharatPe team approached the actor to become the portal’s brand ambassador, Salman immediately asked Ashneer about his comments. Salman said, “Mere baare mere kehte hue suna hai aur meri team ke liye hai jab aapko bhi milata nahi hui.” Ashneer, who looked visibly shocked, replied, “There was an agency involved in this.” Salman countered her and said, “There was no agency involved in this. My team was involved. They don’t talk like this. Aapne kaha aapne sign kiya hai. Sab figures bhi aapne galhit bataye. To fir ye doglapan kya hai? (I heard you talk about signing me and mentioned all the wrong figures. I never met you. So what is this double standard?) Though Ashneer tried to clarify, Salman hit back, saying, “Doglapan hi hua na… However, the actor denied it and said that he had a meeting with a team and he has to be present there. Trying to salvage the situation, Ashneer explained, “I want to clarify, taking you on as the brand ambassador was one of the smartest moves I made.” However, Salman hit back, saying, “Please clarify because the impression you gave was that you fooled us by signing us for that amount. That was wrong.” He added, “Ye jo attitude ab hai, tab wahan nahi dikha tha.” Ashneer clarified that her words in the podcast were misinterpreted. Salman said that though he didn’t feel bad, Ashneer should be careful with her words even when stars aren’t present in front of her because her words can ‘bite’ her. The Dabangg actor said, “I just got to know that you are coming on Bigg Boss, what is he saying? Obviously when you are on TV you tend to exaggerate, you try to be a hero and try to reinvent yourself… that’s a good thing but don’t get personal. That’s the intention that was conveyed in that clip. You had a lot of swag in the clip. Sometimes it gets overconfident, I think that’s a good learning.” Last year on the Vagehra Vagehra podcast, Ashneer had talked about her experience with Salman. She had said, “Unko humne sponsor paise, met him for his shoot, to brief him about the company. Teen ghar baithe the unke saath, unke manager ne bol diya photo nahi khichwani, sir thoda bura maan jaate hain. We kept him as a sponsor and I met him at a shoot to tell him about our company. I sat with him for three hours and his manager said there will be no photo with him because ‘sir’ doesn’t like it. I said okay I won’t do it. Fuck you, why so much attitude).”
