‘Sarfarosh 2 should be made’: On its 25th anniversary, Aamir Khan gives a big hint about the film’s sequel

Aamir Khan, who was present at the special premiere of Sarfarosh on its 25th anniversary, dropped a big hint about the film’s sequel. Apart from Aamir, other star cast of the film including Sonali Bendre, Naseeruddin Shah and Mukesh Rishi were also present in this program. A special screening was held at PVR Juhu, Mumbai on Friday. While talking to the media, Aamir told that he also wants to make a sequel of Sarfarosh.
He said, ”Sarfarosh 2 banni chahiye” (Sarfarosh 2 should be made) Even I feel like that. The way we left the film, we had an idea in our mind that we could make a part 2. Even now I keep asking John (director John Mathew Mathew) to write a good story on which we can make Sarfarosh 2. And this time he said he would give it a chance”.

Directed by John Mathew Mathan, the film rotate around Aamir’s cop character, who vows to reduce crime after his father becomes paralyzed and his elder brother is murdered by terrorists. In 1999, Aamir Khan surprised everyone as ACP Ajay Singh Rathore in Sarfarosh.
Sonali Bendre had played the role of Aamir’s love in the film. Apart from its plot, the other most special aspect of Sarfarosh was its music. Composed by Jatin-Lalit, the film has evergreen songs like Jagjit Singh’s ‘Hosh Walon Ko Khabar Kya’, ‘Zindagi Maut Na Ban Jaaye’, ‘Iss Deewane Guy Ko’, ‘Jo Haal Dil Ka’ etc.
Meanwhile, Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha with Kareena Kapoor Khan. In terms of acting, Aamir has not make public any of his upcoming projects, though, he will remain active as a producer. He is producing the Sunny Deol-starrer Lahore 1947.
