Shah Rukh Khan is not only one of the world’s most celebrated film stars but also the only actor globally to enter the billionaire club. According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, the Bollywood superstar has an estimated net worth of ₹12,490 crore (around $1.4 billion), placing him among the wealthiest entertainers worldwide.
In a recent podcast conversation with Sharan Hegde, celebrity wealth manager Deepak Hiro Vazirani shed light on what distinguishes Khan’s financial journey. He described the actor’s rise as strategic rather than accidental, emphasizing his business acumen and long-term investment vision.
Highlighting one example, Vazirani noted that Khan’s iconic Mumbai residence, Mannat, was reportedly purchased for around ₹18 crore and is now valued at nearly ₹300 crore — a massive appreciation over the years. He also pointed to the actor’s stake in Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), stating that the IPL franchise has grown approximately 40 to 50 times in value since its inception.
“Shah Rukh Khan is a businessman; he is very well read; he understands business. There is only one SRK that happens in an era,” Vazirani remarked during the discussion.
Beyond cinema, Khan’s diversified portfolio—spanning film production, sports, brand endorsements, and real estate—has played a crucial role in building his billion-dollar empire, making him a rare blend of superstar and savvy entrepreneur.
