Telugu actor Kosuri Venu Gopal passed away on Wednesday in a private hospital in Hyderabad.
He was on a life support for the past 23 days, and breathed his last after his health condition deteriorated on Wednesday.
Even as news of his demise broke, social media was filled with condolences for his family from loved ones and fans. Sources state that the actor was being treated for Covid-19 at a private hospital in Gachibowli in Hyderabad. But despite getting medical care, Venugopal is said to have passed away due to deteriorating health.
Venugopal from Narsapur, West Godavari retired after working as a manager in Food Corporation of India. He juggled acting with his day-job due to his passion for the field and would even take place in the drama competitions that were held at his work place. He is known for acting in many films like Maryada Ramanna, Chalo, Pilla Zamindar, Ami Thumi and more. He worked in numerous films over 26 years.
In an interview, he however stated that while his debut was in Tegimpu, his role in SS Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna remains his absolute favourite. “It is only due to Maryada Ramanna that I am recognised as an actor today,” said the late actor who played the role of Brahmaji’s father in the film. He also revealed that he acted in every film of SS Rajamouli except Student No 1.
