Shraddha Kapoor Urges LinkedIn to Resolve Account Flagging Issue

Mumbai, August 24 — Bollywood actor and entrepreneur Shraddha Kapoor has publicly appealed to LinkedIn India after her verified premium account was mistakenly flagged as fake, preventing her from using the platform to share her professional journey.

Kapoor, who recently starred in the blockbuster film Stree 2, posted on Instagram expressing her frustration. She stated that although her LinkedIn account is verified and upgraded to premium, it remains invisible to other users. “Dear LinkedIn @linkedin_in, I’m not being able to use my own account because LinkedIn thinks it’s fake. Can someone please help me?” she wrote. “Account is made, premium and verified but no one else can see it. Want to start sharing my entrepreneurial journey, getting an account itself has become a journey.”

The actor had created the account to highlight her business ventures, particularly her role as co-founder and brand ambassador of Palmonas, a demi-fine jewellery brand. Palmonas gained national attention after appearing on Shark Tank India, where it secured ₹1.26 crore in funding from investors Namita Thapar and Ritesh Agarwal.

Despite the account’s verified status, Kapoor’s profile remains inaccessible to others, likely due to a technical glitch. LinkedIn has not yet issued an official response.

Kapoor’s experience has sparked broader conversations about the reliability of identity verification systems on professional platforms, especially for public figures seeking to expand their entrepreneurial presence. Her humorous remark about the account setup being a “journey” resonated with many of her followers.

Meanwhile, Kapoor continues to enjoy success in her film career. Stree 2, released on August 15, has grossed over ₹850 crore globally. She is also set to appear in upcoming projects including Naagin and a period drama directed by Laxman Utekar.

As Kapoor awaits a resolution, her situation highlights the challenges celebrities face when navigating digital platforms for professional outreach.
