Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri Bring Passion and Power to Dhadak 2 Trailer

The trailer of Dhadak 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 romantic drama Dhadak, has been officially unveiled by Dharma Productions, stirring excitement across the film industry and among fans. Featuring rising stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in lead roles, the trailer introduces a poignant and intense love story that explores themes of passion, rebellion, and the harsh realities of caste and societal boundaries in contemporary India.

Directed by Shazia Iqbal and backed by producers Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Zee Studios, Dhadak 2 is slated for a theatrical release on November 22, 2025.

The trailer opens with glimpses of Siddhant Chaturvedi’s character, a young man from a lower socio-economic background, who falls in love with Triptii Dimri’s character, a woman from an upper-caste, influential political family. Set in the heartland of India, the narrative quickly builds into a storm of emotional turmoil, generational conflict, and social resistance.

With stirring visuals, evocative music, and emotionally charged dialogue, the trailer suggests a deeper, darker, and more politically rooted tone compared to the original film. The chemistry between Siddhant and Triptii is electric, driving the narrative with intensity and vulnerability.

Unlike its predecessor, which was a remake of the Marathi hit Sairat, Dhadak 2 is not a remake but an original story inspired by real-life socio-political divides. Director Shazia Iqbal, making her feature debut, appears to have crafted a gritty and emotionally resonant tale.
Speaking at the trailer launch, Iqbal said:

Dhadak 2 is not just a love story; it’s a story of courage, defiance, and the cost of dreaming against the rules. Siddhant and Triptii have brought raw honesty to their roles.” Siddhant Chaturvedi, known for his breakout role in Gully Boy, brings a powerful screen presence, blending vulnerability with conviction. Triptii Dimri, whose performances in Qala and Bulbbul earned her critical acclaim, adds depth and emotional gravitas to the trailer. The audience and critics alike have lauded their pairing, praising the fresh energy they bring to the franchise.

Social media platforms were abuzz with reactions soon after the trailer’s release, with hashtags like #Dhadak2Trailer and #SiddhantTriptii trending across platforms. Many users have applauded the makers for addressing caste-based discrimination and systemic injustice through mainstream cinema.
