Son of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn & Mural Thakur premieres with ₹6.75 crore

In spite of Ajay Devgn’s star power and widespread release, Son of Sardaar 2 had a disappointing opening day at the box office, earning ₹6.75 crore. With a good opening day of ₹19.25 crore on Day 1, Raid 2 exceeded the ₹100 crore milestone in a matter of days thanks to excellent occupancy rates and strong word-of-mouth. All regions saw reduced occupancy rates for Son of Sardaar 2, with Mumbai and Pune averaging 14–16%. With almost 30% of the population present during peak hours, Lucknow and Jaipur fared better. Jaipur had the highest occupancy, reaching 43% in the evening and 25% in the morning presentations, while Lucknow had the highest, peaking at 50% during evening performances.

Occupancy increased by 23.33% in the National Capital Region (NCR), with afternoon and evening shows seeing the biggest increases. Chennai’s afternoon and evening slots were the main drivers of its 20.5% occupancy rate. The turnout in other cities, including as Chandigarh, Bhopal, Hyderabad, and Pune, was moderate but balanced. On the day of opening, Surat had the lowest occupancy, with only minor increases. At 9.33% overall, Ahmedabad did not perform well.
