Sriram Raghavan and Dinesh Vijan to Pay Tribute to Dharmendra in Ikkis

Filmmaker Sriram Raghavan and producer Dinesh Vijan are set to honor veteran actor Dharmendra in their upcoming film Ikkis. The project, which has already drawn attention for its unique storyline and ensemble cast, will include a special tribute to the legendary star, acknowledging his immense contribution to Indian cinema.

Ikkis is being developed under Maddock Films, with Raghavan directing. Known for his mastery in thrillers such as Andhadhun and Johnny Gaddaar, Raghavan is expected to bring his signature storytelling style to this film as well. The tribute to Dharmendra is being positioned as a heartfelt gesture, celebrating his decades-long career and enduring influence on generations of actors and filmmakers.

The film is currently in the pre-production stage, with casting and creative details being finalized. Industry insiders suggest that the tribute will be woven into the narrative in a meaningful way, rather than as a standalone segment, ensuring it resonates with audiences while maintaining the film’s artistic integrity.

Dharmendra, often referred to as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” has been a towering figure in Indian cinema for over six decades, with iconic performances in films such as Sholay, Phool Aur Patthar, and Chupke Chupke. His legacy continues to inspire contemporary filmmakers, making the planned homage in Ikkis both timely and significant.
