Mumbai, September 9 — Acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli has made a surprise appearance in the trailer of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series, The Bads of Bollywood, which is set to premiere on Netflix on September 18. The cameo, revealed alongside appearances by Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, has sparked widespread excitement across the entertainment industry and social media platforms.

The seven-episode series, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and co-written by Aryan Khan, offers a satirical and stylized look at the inner workings of the Hindi film industry. The trailer introduces viewers to Aasmaan Singh (played by Lakshya), a young outsider navigating the chaotic world of Bollywood, supported by a cast that includes Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Raghav Juyal, and Sahher Bambba.

SS Rajamouli’s cameo adds a layer of cinematic gravitas to the project, marking a rare appearance by the director in a Hindi-language OTT series. His brief but impactful moment in the trailer is part of a larger ensemble of industry heavyweights, including Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Badshah, and Disha Patani.

The trailer blends humor, drama, and meta-commentary, with Aryan Khan showcasing a sharp directorial voice that critiques and celebrates Bollywood’s glamour and contradictions. The inclusion of Rajamouli, known for epic blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR, signals the series’ ambition to bridge mainstream appeal with insider satire.

Industry analysts view The Bads of Bollywood as a bold entry into the OTT space, with Aryan Khan’s debut generating significant buzz due to its star-studded cameos and irreverent tone. The series is expected to attract a wide audience, from cinephiles to casual viewers, eager to witness this unconventional take on stardom and storytelling.

Streaming begins September 18, exclusively on Netflix.
