SSR : Centre accepts Bihar government’s recommendation of transferring case to CBI.

While the jurisdiction tussle between the Mumbai police and Bihar police continues in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday denied any involvement in the case.

The Centre informed the Supreme Court on Wednesday that it has agreed to accept Bihar government’s recommendation to let the CBI probe the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

But the Maharashtra government countered the Centre before a Single Bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy, saying the case is being used to score political brownie points.

Maharashtra questioned the jurisdiction of the Bihar government to even recommend a CBI investigation in the first place, saying the cause of action (Rajput’s death) happened in Mumbai.

The apex court has also said that the “truth should come out so far as actor’s death is concerned,” news agency PTI reported.
