Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are set to light up the screen this Dussehra with their upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions. The film’s motion poster, released on August 25, has stirred excitement with its vibrant visuals and intriguing tagline: “Two heart-breakers, One Wicked Plan!”
The poster features Varun in a flamboyant golden shirt and Janhvi in a matching glamorous saree, hinting at their mischievous chemistry. The narrative teases a twisted love quadrangle involving Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra, who also appear in the film. A half-torn photo of Rohit and Sanya, paired with the line “Revenge never looked this festive,” suggests a plot filled with romantic chaos and scheming antics.
Adding to the buzz, the cast shared behind-the-scenes photos wearing quirky T-shirts that hint at their characters’ tangled desires. Varun’s shirt read, “Sunny. Loves Bantu, wants Bantu.” Janhvi’s said, “Tulsi. Loves Sunny, wants Vikram.” Sanya’s tee read, “Ananya. Loves Sunny, wants Vikram,” while Rohit’s read, “Vikram. The film marks Varun and Janhvi’s reunion after their 2023 hit Bawaal, and also features Akshay Oberoi, Maniesh Paul, and Manini Chadha in supporting roles. Initially considered part of the Dulhania franchise, the project evolved into a standalone romantic comedy.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is scheduled for theatrical release on October 2, 2025, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra. The teaser will drop on August 28, promising more glimpses into this festive tale of love, drama, and revenge.
