Taapsee Pannu express Nepokids support each other ‘regardless of the quality of the film’, but outsiders don’t: ‘The level of insecurity is higher’

Taapsee talked about the primary difference between Outsiders and Nepo Kids in an interview and said that it is important that people stand with each other.
Taapsee Pannu proudly wears the tag of being an outsider in the film industry. Although her career has had many ups and downs, Taapsee has ensured that she never stops experimenting in her choice of films. She has also been quite vocal about the level of competition in the film industry and how an outsider, with no connection to the film business, faces a tough time establishing herself.
Speaking to ANI on the sidelines of the release of her Netflix film, Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba, Taapsee was asked about forming a faction of sorts in Hindi cinema. The actor, without missing a beat, responded that this is what the game needs, and said, “One thing that is really good about kids coming from film families, so-called nepotism products, is that they are together Live, live together.” , and support each other.
Throwing more light on this observation, Taapsee said that this is a quality that is not often found in people who have made their place in Hindi cinema despite being rank outsiders. “I think we’ve become used to hustling, struggling and outdoing each other. Of course, we respect each other, share congratulatory messages, etc..” says the Baby actor, quickly pointing out that there is a feeling of ‘no matter what, I’ll be there’ in the tribe of outsiders.“Irrespective of the quality of the film or its success, they remain connected to each other. He is not among us, outsiders.”
Trying to clarify the logic behind this thinking, Taapsee said, “I think, somewhere, we all will continue to feel insecure about each other. The level of insecurity is much higher than that of kids in the industry.” She further adds that cinema people from film families support each other, and recommend each other for projects etc… ” There is a kind of unity there. And that’s something we can definitely emulate.”
The sequel to Haseen Dilruba, Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba, is currently streaming on Netflix, and it stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal alongside Taapsee.
