It has been almost six months since Shailesh Lodha exited the television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It is said that his dues have not yet been paid. The actor had been working on the show for 14 years but resigned from it in April 2022 without giving any reason. A source shared, Shailesh’s payment was not cleared by the makers of the serial for over a year. That’s almost a six-figure sum. He waited patiently for more than a year for the builders to pay his dues. But producer Asit Kumar Modi is paying no attention to that.
The source added that Lodha left the show due to a spat with the showrunner: “he felt disrespected and left the show without any notice. Since then Shailesh has maintained a dignified silence.”
According to another source, Seth shares, “This is not the first time that someone’s check has been delayed. Neha (actor Neha K Mehta, who played Anjali in the show) ₹30-40 lakh is yet to be cleared by the producer. Even Raj Anadkat (actor), who played the role of Tapu, faced the same problem.”
When the media tried to contact Lodha, he gave a sarcastic response and said, “Tell me something new.” The actor added, “I am traveling for my poetry. I will talk when I come back.”
