Despite making her debut opposite Shraddha Kapoor in Yash Raj Films’ Love Ka The End, Taha Shah Badusha had to struggle for years in the film industry before getting a significant role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. Many netizens have compared Taha’s struggle to make it big in the film industry with that of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, even calling him the “new Sushant Singh Rajput”. During a recent conversation, Taha talked about his memories of Sushant and how he hopes to carry forward his legacy.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Taha said, “I knew Sushant personally. I know what it’s like to come from outside. I would like to take his legacy forward. In fact, people have messaged me and told me that I am their new Sushant. How amazing is that? Because I know how much love the audience gave him. I just hope to live up to these expectations.”
Recalling one of his meetings with Sushant Singh Rajput, Taha Shah Badusha shared, “He was a very philosophical and intelligent person. He talked a lot about books and I used to talk to him about it. I didn’t spend a lot of time with him; We used to talk only at events and parties. When I met him we talked about NASA. We also talked about ‘Kai Po Che’ because my name was being considered for the role of Amit Sadh in the film, but I did not get the role due to age difference.
After starring in Love Ka the End, Taha Shahad appeared in films like Badusha Gippy, Barkha and Ranchi Diaries. He also played the role of Sidharth Malhotra’s brother in Baar Baar Dekho, which also starred Katrina Kaif in the lead role.
