The trailer of Lockdown, starring Anupama Parameswaran, has been released, offering audiences a chilling glimpse into a woman-centric thriller inspired by real events during the COVID-19 pandemic. Directed by A R Jeeva and produced by Lyca Productions under Subaskaran’s banner, the film follows the story of Anitha, played by Parameswaran, whose life takes a disturbing turn during the nationwide lockdown.

The trailer, unveiled by actors Vijay Sethupathi and Sasikumar, highlights themes of fear, isolation, and survival. It shows Anitha grappling with unwanted advances and psychological pressure while confined indoors, reflecting the vulnerabilities faced by many during the pandemic.

The film features a strong supporting cast including Charlie, Nirosha, Priya Venkat, Livingston, and others. Music is composed by NR Raghunanthan and Siddharth Vipin, with cinematography by K.A. Shakthivel and editing by V.J. Sabu Joseph.

Lockdown is scheduled for release on December 5, 2025, and is expected to resonate with audiences by blending real-life anxieties of the pandemic with a fictional survival narrative.
