While Bollywood still struggles at the box office, Hollywood and South Indian tentpoles continue to rise to unprecedented heights.

Incidentally, the Indian box-office numbers for ‘Thor’ mirrored the US figures, where the film grossed $143 million in its first weekend, making it the third highest-grossing release behind ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ ($187.4 million). ) and ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ ($145 million).
