Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya’s Dune: Part Two is all set to stream from this date

Fans’ wait for Dune: Part Two is now over as Denis Villeneuve’s epic science fiction film will be available to stream on Max starting May 21, reports Variety. The blockbuster rocked the box office as it crossed the $500 million mark at the global box office in March, surpassing the entire earnings of Dune: Part One. The film grossed $81.5 million in its domestic opening weekend and $97 million at the international box office.
Based on the second part of Frank Herbert’s 1965 science-fiction novel, Dune: Part Two follows Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides as he joins the Freemen and attempts to liberate the galaxy from the Harkonnen Empire, which Is responsible for his father’s death. Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux join the original cast of Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin and Stellan Skarsgård.
The film’s predecessor, Dune: Part I, received ten Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, and won for Original Music, Editing, Sound, Film Production Design, Cinematography, and Visual Effects.
The first film gross over $400 million at the universal box office. While a third Dune film has not been greenlit by Warner Bros, Villeneuve has promised that he will only move forward with making a film based on Herbert’s Dune Messiah novel once he is aware of the fact that it will be based on Dune: Part II.
