Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has once again pushed the boundaries of action cinema, earning a Guinness World Record for performing the most burning parachute jumps by an individual.
During the filming of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Cruise executed the daring stunt 16 times, leaping from a helicopter with a parachute soaked in aviation fuel and set ablaze. After each jump, he cut away the burning parachute and deployed a backup to land safely.
Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday praised Cruise’s commitment to authenticity, stating, “Tom doesn’t just play action heroes – he is an action hero!”.
The film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, features Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt battling antagonist Gabriel (Esai Morales) in a high-stakes aerial showdown over South Africa’s Drakensberg mountains.
With this latest achievement, Cruise continues to redefine action filmmaking, proving why he remains one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars. 🎬🔥
