Unni Mukundan to Portray Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Upcoming Biopic ‘Maa Vande’

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Silver Cast Creations officially announced a grand-scale biopic titled Maa Vande, with acclaimed Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan cast in the lead role. The film will chronicle the life and legacy of Narendra Modi, tracing his journey from childhood to his rise as India’s Prime Minister.

Directed by Kranthi Kumar CH and produced by Veer Reddy M, Maa Vande is envisioned as a pan-India cinematic spectacle. The film will be released in multiple Indian languages, including English, and aims to deliver a deeply personal and visually rich portrayal of Modi’s life.

Unni Mukundan, known for his performance in Marco, shared the first-look poster of the film on social media, expressing his gratitude and excitement. “A man’s story that rises beyond battles… to become a revolution for the ages,” he wrote, extending birthday wishes to the Prime Minister.

The narrative will highlight key milestones in Modi’s life, with special emphasis on his bond with his late mother, Smt. Heeraben Modi, who played a pivotal role in shaping his values and resilience.

The production team includes several top-tier technicians from the Indian film industry:

Unni Mukundan, who grew up in Ahmedabad, recalled his early memories of Modi as Chief Minister and shared his personal experience of meeting him in 2023. He described the role as “overwhelming yet deeply inspiring,” and emphasized the film’s intent to explore the man behind the statesman.

Maa Vande is positioned as a landmark biopic, aiming to offer an authentic and emotionally resonant account of Narendra Modi’s life and leadership. The release date is yet to be announced, but the film is expected to hit theatres worldwide in the coming months.
