Stand-up comedian, actor, television host and director Bob Saget has died at a hotel in Orlando, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Saget died Sunday afternoon at the Ritz Carlton, according to police. A cause of death has not been announced, but foul play or drug use is not immediately suspected. He was 65.
The Morning Show spoke to Saget on Monday ahead of his comedy show at Ponte Vedra Hall in Jacksonville. The actor appeared in good spirits and health at the time. He spoke to News4JAX anchor Bruce Hamilton, with who he maintained a friendship since college.
“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” the Orange County Sheriff’s office tweeted from its verified account.
