Veteran actor Jr Mehmood is currently battling stage four cancer. His close friend Salam Kazi recently revealed that the actor was unwell for 2 months. After Johnny Lever met Jr. Mehmood at his Mumbai residence a few days ago, Jr. Mehmood’s old friends and veteran actors Jeetendra and Sachin Pilgaonkar also visited his ailing friend on Tuesday at his residence to fulfill his last wishes.
Speaking to Hindustan Times about his visit with junior Mehmood, Jitendra said he was there by his bedside but he did not recognize him. “He is in so much pain, he can’t open his eyes. It breaks my heart to see him in this condition,” he said.
He noted that he has been coming to Mount Mary Church for 25 years and when he learned of Jr. Mehmood’s condition, he planned to visit him on his way to church next Sunday. But Johnny contacted him on Monday night, requesting a quick visit. 81-year-old Jitendra became emotional and broke down in tears during the visit.
