Veteran actress Bhairavi Vaidya dies of cancer

Veteran actress Bhairavi Vaidya, who was battling cancer, passed away on October 8. She was 67 years old. She had been suffering for the past few months.

With a career spanning over 45 years, Bhairavi was recently seen in the TV show ‘Nima Denzongpa’. Her co-star Surabhi Das, mourned her death and shared with India Today, “I am truly saddened by the news of her death. I shared great times with her on the sets.”

Pratik Gandhi, who shared screen space with her in a film called Ventilator, shared, “I got an opportunity to work with her in ‘Ventilator’. We had a really good bond. She was very affectionate.

I saw her perform on stage and on television as a child. And always admired her acting. I can’t forget her smiling face.”

Bhairavi Vaidya was also a popular name in Gujarati and Hindi cinema. She has worked in shows like ‘Hasratein’ and ‘Mahisagar’. In 1999, she made her Bollywood debut with the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-starrer Taal.
