Vani Jairam who was 78 found dead at her home in Chennai on 4th of February 2023. She was 78. The reason behind her death is yet not known. She was also the recipient of Padma Bhushan Award. The news of her untimely death has put the people across the country in shock. She was popular for recording over 10,000 songs in her whole career.
She was started being recognised as a playback singer from 1971 and kept on rocking in singing field for over 5 decades. She sang in around 19 different languages and also was able to achieve National Film Awards and state government awards.
Her big achievement came with Guddi in the year 1971. She collaborated with many celebrated composers, like Sathyam , KV Mahadevan, Chakravarthy, Ilaiyaraaja, and MS Vishwanathan, among others.
