Veteran Punjabi actress Daljeet Kaur has died in Ludhiana after a chronic illness, at 69. Reportedly, she had been identified with a neurological issue and was taken to Ludhiana from Mumbai around 12 years ago. The actress was known to act the lead in several superhit Punjabi films and in 2013, Daljeet worked at Gippy Grewal’s mom in Singh VS Kaur.
After knowing , the untimely demise of actress, many celebrities took to social media to pay their condolences. Mika Singh wrote and posted on a twitter, “The beautiful Actress, Legend of Punjab #Daljeetkaur has sadly left us with her beautiful memories. May almighty bless her soul and she rest in eternal peace.”
According to sources, Kaur took her last breath on Thursday in Raikot, Punjab. Commonly known as ‘Hema Malini’ of the Punjabi film industry, Daljeet had played roles in movies like ‘Daaj’, ‘Giddha’, ‘Putt Jattan De’, ‘Roop Shaqinan Da’, ‘Ishaq Nimana’, ‘Laajo’, ‘Batwara’, ‘Vairee Jatt’, ‘Patola’, and many others. She also knew a hockey and kabaddi.
