Shahrukh Khan fronted Atlee-directed Jawan is one of the most awaited Indian films of 2022. It features Nayanthara as the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi. Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover also star in this action-packed entertainer.
“This is the highest that Sethupathi has charged for a feature film to date and the fee hike is due to the tremendous appreciation he received for his performance in Vikram. While he was in talks for Jawaan for a while, the papers happened to post Vikram’s thunderous success.
He increased his fee from Rs 15 crore to Rs 21 crore for Jawaan,” revealed a source close to the department, adding that the actor will have a formidable presence in this Atlee directorial. The source added, “He had to leave two films to be a part of it. But the character is so strong that he didn’t mind giving up other projects. Atlee churned out a role that excited Vijay a lot,”.
