Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has officially joined the cast of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming action drama Spirit, which stars South superstar Prabhas in the lead role. The announcement was made on October 23, coinciding with Prabhas’ birthday, and has generated significant buzz across the film industry and among fans.
Oberoi expressed his excitement on social media, stating he was “super kicked” to be part of the ambitious project. Reacting to the film’s audio teaser, dubbed the “sound story,” he wrote, “#OneBadHabit is all it takes to get you #inspiritmode. And what a powerful ‘SOUND-STORY’ that was! While details about Oberoi’s role remain under wraps, industry speculation suggests he may portray a strong antagonist opposite Prabhas, who is set to play a bold IPS officer. This marks the first on-screen collaboration between Oberoi and Prabhas, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film.
Spirit also features Triptii Dimri as the female lead, with veteran actress Kanchana and possibly Suresh Oberoi joining the ensemble cast. The film is being produced under T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures and is expected to be a pan-India release.
