93 BN BSF inaugurated the newly constructed RCC water storage tank at P. Khel Kohima village under Civic Action Programme (CAP), bringing much relief to the villagers.
The water storage tank was inaugurated by Commandant BSF 93 BN SH Surinder Singh in the presence of P. Khel village council chairman, GBs, frontal organisations, government officials and others Wednesday.
SH Surinder Singh in his brief address expressed gratitude to the P. Khel villagers for their support and exuded confidence that the fruitful association would grow stronger.
Asserting that as central government’s representative, Singh said it was their duty to assist the centre by developing the small projects.
He also expressed joy that the project could be completed on time. He assured to identify other projects in consultation with the local community and would continue to extend all possible support to the community.
Chairman P. Khel Council Kruyie Pienyü in his welcome address shared the brief background of the village and P. Khel and thanked the 93 Battalion BSF for constructing the water tank.
He said the water storage would be of great help to the villagers especially the women folks. Programme was chaired by vice chairman P. Khel Kelhousetuo Rutsa, while catechist Christ King Church Ruokuovituo Rutsa pronounced invocation.
