When Juhi Chawla express about daughter Janhvi’s deep love for cricket, she said she and Aryan ‘took over’ the IPL auction

Actress and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Juhi Chawla’s daughter Janhvi Mehta represented the team at the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah.

Actress and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Juhi Chawla’s daughter Janhvi Mehta, who graduated from Columbia University, represented the team at the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and impressed everyone with her presence.
She was accompanied by senior team members including father Jay Mehta and KKR managing director Venky Mysore. Fans were expecting actor Shah Rukh Khan’s children Suhana Khan and Aryan Khan to represent the team at the auction like previous years, but this time both were absent from KKR’s table.

After co-owning an IPL team, starring in several hit films and starting a production house called Dreamz Films Unlimited, Shah Rukh and Juhi have maintained their friendship and bond both personally and professionally. And now, it’s the turn of their kids to take the legacy forward.
Fans can’t help but notice the resemblance between Janhvi and their mother, with many even calling her the internet’s latest obsession. In fact, the Yes Boss (1997) actor has even reacted to a few fan memes by re-sharing them on his Insta Stories.
A few years ago, Juhi, ahead of her daughter Janhvi’s birthday, shared a video montage of herself with her. The video on Instagram featured moments from Janhvi’s childhood to the Indian Premier League auction. Along with the post, she wrote, “Ever since she was a little kid, Janhvi didn’t just watch the IPL, she started watching cricket.
Listening intently to the commentators, she began to understand the nuances of the game. When she was about 12, we were on a family holiday in Bali. There was a coffee table book in the hotel, the size of a thick telephone directory, remember…?? It had the life stories, achievements, records, a kind of almanac, of all the cricketers in the world. In the few days she spent in the hotel, after she had jumped into the pool and behaved like a mad caper, she would sit in the gazebo by the pool and read that book from beginning to end!
It was very unusual and very intense. I wondered which 12-year-old girl does that…? As the years went by, her interest in the game grew.
