Salman Khan’s relationship status is one of the most transparent secrets in the world of Bollywood. Many consider him to be one of India’s most eligible bachelors even today, but what has surprised fans for years or even decades is why the charismatic heartthrob has not finally stepped into married life.
His fans and those who have been infatuated about him for so many years have given up. But fans always have one question in their minds – why is Salman still single? With the on-screen and off-screen icon set to turn 60 in December this year, most people can’t even imagine what the reason is for the on-screen and off-screen icon’s marriage. Well, father Salim Khan, who is also a renowned screenwriter, has a straight answer to it.
In Salim Khan’s previous interview with trade analyst Komal Nahta, he opened up about Salman being single till now. The loving father highlighted how there is an inevitable discrepancy between the actor’s concept of his ideal woman and the group of potential life partners he spends his time with.
According to Salim, Salman is basically looking for someone homely, similar to his mother. According to Salim, this is in contrast to the career-oriented women Salman is usually attracted to – presumably, he was making a reference to his list of leading actresses on screen.
He said, “There is a contradiction in Salman’s thinking, which is one of the reasons he hasn’t gotten married. Salman is mostly attracted to the actresses he works with, because they work in a close environment and are good-looking. After the commitment, he tries to change them and look for his mother in them. That’s not possible”.

Salman will next be seen in the big-budget film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, which will release on Eid this March.
