Years after claiming Kangana Ranaut slapped her, Adhyayan Suman condemns attack on BJP MP-elect: ‘This should not have happened’

Actor Adhyayan Suman, who was in a relationship with actor and BJP MP-elect Kangana Ranaut several years ago, has come out in support of her after she was allegedly slapped by a CISF constable at the Chandigarh airport. Adhyayan, who had a public spat with Kangana, commented on the incident at an event in Mumbai. Adhyayan, who was recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, said that taking law into one’s hands, no matter how troubled one is, is not a solution.

According to Hindustan Times, the actor’s father Shekhar Suman also condemned the attack. Shekhar said, “This is wrong. This was very wrong and unfortunate. This should not happen to anyone. No one has the right to do this. What he has done is illegal. He should be punished for this. I understand that there must be some anger or protest in his mind, but the way it was expressed was very wrong. This could have been said in a civilized manner also…you cannot raise your hand on anyone like this. The now suspended CISF constable was caught on camera after the incident, which revealed that he was incensed by the inflammatory comments made by Kangana about the farmers’ protests a few years ago.

Responding to his father’s statement, Adhyayan said, “I completely agree with him.” Even if you have a personal grudge, it is very wrong to vent it out publicly. “This should not have happened.”

Interestingly, Adhyayan Suman had earlier publicly accused Kangana of slapping her at Hrithik Roshan’s birthday party. In an interview with DNA in 2016, Adhyayan had claimed how Kangana had become “violent” with him.

“One moment he made me feel loved and then the next moment, it felt like I was nothing in his life! I was standing alone at the bar when Kangana came to me and said that some actor was trying to catch her at the party. I felt protective of her, but I was at someone’s house, and it would be rude to make a scene, so I told her, ‘Let’s go.’ She went back to doing her work. Later, she came and told me let’s go now.

A day after he allegedly assaulted Kangana at the Chandigarh airport, Punjab Police on Friday registered a case against CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur and suspended her. While many were expressing their displeasure over the incident, Kangana took to social media to criticize those who celebrated the attack.
