Yuvraj Sandhu surged to the top with an eight-under 64 in Round Two of the Tata Open 2025

Yuvraj Sandhu’s impressive eight-under 64 in Round Two of the Tata Open 2025, an INR 2 crore event and the PGTI season finale being played at the Beldih and Golmuri golf courses in Jamshedpur, propelled him to the top of the leaderboard. Yuvraj (67-64), who played at Beldih on Friday, led by three shots at the break with a score of 11-under 131, moving up seven spots from his tied seventh position the previous night. Yuvraj, who has won the PGTI six times this year, has already secured his place on the DP World Tour for the next year by winning the 2025 PGTI Order of Merit title. Sandhu is now aiming for a record-breaking seventh PGTI title.

Playing in his third PGTI event, 21-year-old Shubham Jaglan (68-66) moved up four spots to second place at eight-under 134 after shooting a four-under 66 at Golmuri in round two. At two-over 144, the halfway cut was announced. A total of fifty-three professionals were selected. In the first round, half of the players played their eighteen holes at the Golmuri Golf Club and the other half at the Beldih Golf Club. Both sides of the field switched locations in Round Two. The top groups will play their first nine holes at Golmuri in rounds three and four, then their second nine holes at Beldih.

After Round One, Yuvraj Sandhu was four shots behind the lead. On the front nine, he made three straight birdies. After a little setback with a bogey on the tenth hole, Yuvraj went on a birdie-spree, making six consecutive birdies from the eleventh to the sixteenth. Two excellent up-and-downs, two long conversions from a range of 12 to 15 feet, and two four-foot conversions were among Sandhu’s back-nine birdies.
