Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has shared a significant update on the health of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, confirming that the 90-year-old remains under intensive care at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital but is showing steady signs of improvement.
Salim Khan, widely regarded as one of Hindi cinema’s most influential writers, was admitted on February 17 following a minor brain hemorrhage. He subsequently underwent a brief medical procedure and has since been closely monitored by doctors.
Speaking to the media, Aamir Khan revealed that while he could not meet Salim Khan directly due to ICU restrictions, he spent time with the family and was reassured by daily updates from Salim’s daughter, Alvira Agnihotri, who confirmed that his condition is improving. The actor emphasized that the family remains optimistic and grateful for the support pouring in from across the industry.
Several prominent figures, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Ranveer Singh, have visited the hospital to extend solidarity to the Khan family. Aamir Khan noted that the collective prayers and well-wishes reflect the deep respect Salim Khan commands in the film fraternity.
