The box office this weekend saw a mix of steady growth and massive milestones. Leading the new releases, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Wamiqa Gabbi, has crossed the ₹20-crore mark globally after its opening weekend. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the comedy-drama kicked off its theatrical run with a ₹4 crore nett opening in India. It showed positive upward momentum over the weekend, pulling in ₹5.75 crore nett on Saturday and hitting ₹7.75 crore nett on Sunday. This brings its three-day domestic total to ₹17.50 crore nett, with an estimated domestic gross of ₹21 crore. Internationally, the film added ₹3.25 crore gross to its tally, taking its worldwide gross collection to ₹24.25 crore.
Despite this steady growth, the sequel has fallen short of the high benchmark set by the 2019 original. The Kartik Aaryan-led Pati Patni Aur Woh had enjoyed a much stronger opening weekend, raking in ₹35.94 crore nett in its first three days.
Meanwhile, it is a moment of massive celebration for Riteish Deshmukh and the team behind the historical drama Raja Shivaji. The film has officially marched past the coveted ₹100-crore milestone globally on its 17th day in theatres. Demonstrating incredible holding power, the film earned ₹3.45 crore nett in India on its third Sunday, pushing its domestic total to ₹84.55 crore. With a global day-17 collection of ₹4.07 crore gross, Raja Shivaji now stands strong at a grand worldwide total of ₹100.07 crore gross.
