Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan, recently shared heartfelt memories of his father on the fifth anniversary of his passing. Babil reflected on Irrfan’s unique approach to acting, describing him as an artist who was open to everything around him and constantly evolving his craft. He recalled working as an intern on the sets of Irrfan’s 2017 film Qarib Qarib Singlle, where he observed his father’s spontaneity and joy in his work.
Babil highlighted how Irrfan would adapt his performances based on his surroundings and interactions, often incorporating real-life observations into his acting. He also spoke about the significant role his mother, Sutapa Sikdar, played in shaping Irrfan’s journey, emphasizing their partnership in creating his legacy.
On this occasion, Babil announced the re-release of Irrfan’s acclaimed film Piku on May 9, marking its 10th anniversary. The film, which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone alongside Irrfan, remains a testament to his enduring impact on cinema. Babil expressed gratitude for the opportunity to carry forward his father’s legacy while navigating his own path in the film industry.
