Prominent figures from both Bollywood and Tollywood, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Nani, and Sunny Deol, have strongly denounced the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and urged swift action against the culprits.
The attack, which occurred at the popular tourist hub in Pahalgam on Tuesday, tragically claimed the lives of 26 individuals, predominantly tourists, and left several others injured. Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram to express her sorrow, stating, “Beyond heartbroken for the victims and their families. Praying for the lives lost. #Pahalgam.” Vicky Kaushal echoed the sentiment, remarking, “Can’t imagine the pain of the families of those who lost their loved ones in the absolute inhumane act of terrorism in Pahalgam. My deepest condolences and prayers.”
In an unprecedented response to the tragedy, Kashmir valley observed a complete shutdown for the first time in 35 years, as various organizations united in calling for justice and protesting against the attack.
Among others, stars such as Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt, Kamal Haasan, and Ritesh Sidhwani also voiced their condemnation of the attack. Telugu actor Nani, who had recently filmed in Pahalgam for his movie Hit: The Third Case, shared his emotional response, describing his experience of the place as a dream shattered by the events. He wrote on X, “Over 200 people team for almost 20 days. Pahalgam was like a dream. The place, the people and the warmth… Why?”
Allu Arjun, the lead star of Pushpa 2, expressed his heartbreak, describing Pahalgam as a “beautiful place with kind-hearted people” and extending condolences to the families affected. Actor Suniel Shetty described the attack as a strike against “the soul of Kashmir and its centuries-old legacy of hospitality” and called for unity in condemning such brutality while demanding justice for the victims.
The attack has drawn widespread outrage and solidarity, with many stars and citizens alike calling for firm action and measures to ensure justice for those impacted by this tragedy. The incident continues to weigh heavily on the hearts of people across the country.
