The Madras High Court has stayed the release of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film Akhanda 2. The order came after Eros International filed a petition citing a pending arbitral award against 14 Reels Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. from July 2019. The award directed the production house to pay approximately ₹27.7 crore with interest, but no payments have been made to date. Eros argued that 14 Reels Plus LLP, linked to the same promoters, was attempting to release Akhanda 2 to bypass the financial liability.
