Fahadh Faasil calls Ranbir Kapoor ‘best actor in the country’, says he doesn’t consider himself a pan-India star

Fahadh Faasil is impressed by Ranbir Kapoor’s acting. In a new interview with Film Companion, Fahadh called Ranbir ‘the best actor in the country’. Fahadh also shared his views on being labeled as a pan-India star and said that he is just an actor who is interested in doing films.

What did Fahadh say?
During the interview, when Fahadh was asked about the influence of his films and his image as an actor, the actor said, “I don’t have to hide anything, I have to be honest. I am doing my work here. No disrespect to anything. I don’t think people expect magic from me, Pushpa. It is pure collaboration, love for Suku [Sukumar] sir. My stuff is here. Frankly, I don’t understand this because I and many of my friends here think and believe that Vicky Kaushal is the discovery of this decade. Rajkummar Rao is one of the most excellent actors India has ever created. Ranbir Kapoor, I mean, the most excellent actor in the country. So, I don’t know what they see in me.”

About being an all India star
Fahadh also shared his views on him being considered a pan-Indian star. He further said, “No, I am just an actor. I have nothing to do with the whole of India. I just do my job. And I do what I believe in and the idea is that films never do business. That’s secondary. But the films that I do here, I can’t do anywhere else.” He also shared that he wants to interact with people after the release of the film and he is eager to see how the audience reacts to the film.

Fahadh recently earned widespread praise for his performance in Awesham. Directed by Jeethu Madhavan, the film revolves around the classic scenario of fishing out of water, in which three college students find themselves entangled in unexpected circumstances. In the film, Fahadh is playing the role of an eccentric don of Bengaluru. He will be after that seen in “Pushpa 2: The Rule”.

Meanwhile, Ranbir was previous seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, which turned out to be one of the prevalent blockbusters of his career. He will soon be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan, co-starring Sai Pallavi. Recently, pictures of the cast on the sets were leaked online and went viral. Apart from this he also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War in the pipeline.
