Ramayana Trailer Launch At San Diego Comic-Con Put On Hold, Global Release Planned For Later: Producer Namit Malhotra

Fans waiting for the first look of Nitesh Tiwari’s epic Ramayana will have to wait a bit longer.
Just hours before the much-anticipated trailer was set to debut at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) producer Namit Malhotra announced that the trailer will not be unveiled at the event. Instead, it will be launched globally at a later date.
The decision came as a surprise to many, given the massive buzz around the film’s international showcase at one of the world’s biggest pop-culture conventions.
Delhi Preview Held Last Week According to sources, the Ramayana team had already held a special private screening of the trailer in Delhi last week. The event was attended by the film’s star-studded cast and key crew members and generated a lot of excitement within the industry.
Despite that closed-door preview, the makers have decided to hold back the public release for now.
Global Rollout Planned
Confirming the postponement, producer Namit Malhotra said the trailer will now be rolled out worldwide at a later date rather than being limited to the SDCC audience.
While no new date has been announced yet, the team indicated that they want the first glimpse to reach audiences across the globe simultaneously, instead of a staggered release.
Fans Asked To Be Patient
With expectations running high for Tiwari’s big-budget retelling of the Ramayana, the delay has left fans eager but disappointed. Social media was already abuzz with speculation about what the SDCC reveal would look like.
For now, the makers have urged audiences to stay patient promising that the trailer will arrive soon with a larger, global launch plan .

Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s DNEG and Prime Focus is one of the most awaited Indian films. It aims to bring the epic to a global audience with large-scale VFX and an international cast.
