Bollywood actor Govinda’s family is all set to make a big entry into Hindi cinema. His wife Sunita Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja will soon be seen on the big screen together in a film backed by producer Ekta Kapoor.
Confirming the news in an interview, Sunita Ahuja revealed that both she and Yashvardhan are preparing for their acting debut with the same project. She also shared that the film is scheduled to release in September this year.
Talking about her role, Sunita said she will be essaying the character of Yashvardhan’s mother in the movie. According to her, it could be the first time in Bollywood that a mother and son are being launched together on screen.
“I’m working on a film with Yash. It is slated to release in September. I have immense love and respect for Ekta Kapoor. It was because of her that I did a Netflix show, and we share a wonderful bond. In Yash’s film, I’m playing his mother. Perhaps I think it’s the first time in the industry that a mother and son are being launched together,” Sunita told news agency ANI.
The actress-turned-producer Ekta Kapoor, known for backing fresh talent and family dramas, is producing the film. Sunita also spoke fondly of her equation with Ekta, crediting her for giving her an opportunity in a Netflix project earlier and calling their bond “wonderful.”
While details about the storyline and other cast members are yet to be announced, the film is already generating buzz for its unique casting. With Govinda’s wife and son stepping into acting, fans are now eagerly waiting to see the mother-son duo share screen space in their very first project.
The September release is expected to mark a new chapter for the Ahuja family in the entertainment industry.
